As part of a collaboration with Daydream Believers, Edinburgh Napier University were donated a 1984 Estrel Supermatic S15 Folding Caravan to create a product and experience out of, for university students to interact with. Through this I created ‘Lighten Up’, a stained glass recycling system to help reduce stress and depression in students. This idea came to me as I walked past the workshop and realised how much material was getting lost to general landfill. To complete this project I was able to claim scraps of materials from the university workshop but also had lots of people donate materials, these were used to fill hexagonal jars and then small lights added to help add to the reflections. This project included creating a full production pack and tecnical file, CAD modelling and physical modelling.
